O Lord Ganesha, salutations to you; you are the visible truth.
You alone are the creator and the sustainer of the universe.

Tvam Sakshad Atmasi Nityam.

You alone are the destroyer; you truly are all that exists, the Supreme Brahman.
You are the eternal, ever-present soul.

You guard me from behind, in front, north, south, above,

Tvamānandamayas Tvaṃ Brahmamayaḥ.

You are full of speech, you are full of consciousness,
You are full of bliss and the Supreme Brahman.

Tvaṃ Saccidānandādvitīyo’si.
Tvaṃ Pratyakṣaṃ Brahmāsi.

You are unique beyond truth, consciousness, and bliss,
You are the direct Brahman, full of knowledge and wisdom.

Tvaṃ Jñānamayo Vijñānamayo’si॥4॥

You are unparalleled beyond truth, consciousness, and bliss
You are full of knowledge and wisdom.
Sarvaṃ Jagadidaṃ Tvatto Jāyate.
Sarvaṃ Jagadidaṃ Tvattastiṣṭhati.

All this universe is born from You.
All this universe exists within You.

Sarvaṃ Jagadidaṃ Tvayi Layameṣyati.
Sarvaṃ Jagadidaṃ Tvayi Pratyeti.

All this universe will dissolve into You.
All this universe returns to You.

Tvaṃ Bhūmirāpo’nalo’nilo Nabhaḥ.
Tvaṃ Catvāri Vākpadāni॥5॥

You are Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Sky.
You are the source of the four types of speech.
Tvaṃ Guṇatrayātītaḥ. Tvaṃ Avasthātrayātītaḥ.
Tvaṃ Dehatrayātītaḥ. Tvaṃ Kālatrayātītaḥ.

You are beyond the three gunas (sattva, rajas, tamas).
You are beyond the three states (waking, dreaming, deep sleep).

Tvaṃ Mūlādhārasthito’si Nityam. Tvaṃ Śaktitrayātmakaḥ.
Tvāṃ Yogino Dhyāyanti Nityam.

You eternally reside in the Muladhara chakra.
You consist of three forms of energy, and yogis meditate on you constantly.

Tvaṃ Brahmā Tvaṃ Viṣṇus Tvaṃ Rudras Tvaṃ Indras Tvaṃ Agnis Tvaṃ
Vāyus Tvaṃ Sūryas Tvaṃ Candramās Tvaṃ Brahma Bhūr Bhuvaḥ Svarom॥6॥

You are Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Indra, Agni, Vayu, Surya, Chandra,
and the Brahman of the three worlds (Bhu, Bhuvah, Svah).
Gaṇādiṃ Pūrvamuccārya Varṇādiṃ Tadananparam. Anusvāraḥ Parataraḥ.
Ardhendulasitam. Tāreṇa ṛddham.

Starting with the utterance of ‘Gan’, followed by Anusvara,
It shines like a crescent moon and is enriched by the Tara (star).

Etattava Manusvarūpam. Gakāraḥ Pūrvarūpam. ākāro Madhyamarūpam.
Anusvāraśchāntyarūpam. Bindurutthararūpam nādaḥ Sandhānam.

This mantra is the essence of truth; G is the beginning, A is the middle,
Anusvara is the end, and Bindu is the supreme form; Nāda is the bond.

Saṃhitā Sandhiḥ. Saiṣā Gaṇeśavidyā. Gaṇaka Ṛṣiḥ. Nicṛd Gāyatrī Chhandaḥ.
Śrīmahāgaṇapatirdēvatā. Ōṃ Gaṃ Gaṇapataye Namaḥ॥7॥

This is the poetry of union, it is the knowledge of Ganesh; the sage is Ganaka.
The meter is Nicṛda Gayatri; the deity is the Great Ganapati. Om gam Ganapataye namah.
Ekadantaya Vidmahe Vakratundaya Dhimahi.
Tanno Danti Prachodayat॥8॥

We meditate on the one-tusked Lord Ganesh.
We focus on the twisted-trunked Lord Ganesh.
May that tusked one inspire us,
And always guide us onward.
Ekadantaṃ Caturhastaṃ Pāśamaṅkuśadhāriṇam.
Radaṃ Ca Varadaṃ Hastairbibhṛāṇaṃ Mūṣakadhvajam॥

Lord Ganesh is one-tusked, four-armed, holding noose and goad,
He carries a red axe and bestows boons, riding mouse banner.

Raktaṃ Lambodaraṃ Śūrpakarṇakaṃ Raktavāsasam.
Raktagaṃdhānuliptāṅgaṃ Raktapuṣpaiḥ Supūjitam॥

His body is red, with a big belly and large ears, clothed in red,
His body scented with red sandal and worshipped with red flowers.

Bhaktānukampinaṃ Devaṃ Jagat-kāraṇam Acyutam.
Āvirbhūtaṃ Ca Sṛṣṭyādau Prakṛteḥ Puruṣātparam॥

He is compassionate to devotees, the imperishable cause of the world,
Manifested at the beginning of creation beyond nature and spirit.
Evaṃ Dhyāyati Yo Nityaṃ Sa Yogī Yogināṃ Varaḥ
Namo Vratapataye Namo Gaṇapataye Namaḥ

He who meditates on this constantly is the best among yogis.
Salutations to Vratapati and to Ganapati.

Pramathapataye Namaste’stu Lambodarāya Ekadantāya
Vighnavināśine Śivasutāya Śrīvaradamūrtaye Namaḥ

Salutations to the Lord of the hosts, to Lambodara and Ekadanta,
The remover of obstacles, son of Shiva, embodiment of auspiciousness.
Etadatharvaśīrṣaṃ Yo’dhīte. Sa Brahmabhūyāya Kalpate.
Sa Sarvavighnairna Bādhyate. Sa Sarvataḥ Sukhamedhate.

Whoever recites this Atharvashirsha is considered worthy of attaining Brahman.
He is not hindered by obstacles and experiences happiness everywhere.

Sa Pancamahāpāpāt Pramucyate.
Sāyamadhiyāno Divasakṛtaṃ pāpaṃ nāśayati.

He is freed from the five great sins.
The evening recitation destroys sins committed during the day.

Prātaradhiyāno Rātrikṛtaṃ pāpaṃ nāśayati.
Sāyaṃ Prātaḥ Prayunjānaḥ Pāpo’papāpo Bhavati.

Morning recitation destroys sins committed at night.
One who recites both morning and evening is freed from sin.
Dharmaarthakāmamokṣaṃ Ca Vindati.
Idamatharvaśīrṣamaśiṣyāya Na Deyam.

This Atharvashirsha helps attain dharma, artha, kama, and moksha.
It should not be taught to an unworthy disciple.

Yo Yadi Mohād Dāsyati. Sa Pāpīyān Bhavati.
Sahasrāvartanādyaṃ Yaṃ Kāmamadhīte. Taṃ Tamnena Sādhayet॥11॥

One who gives it out of delusion incurs sin.
One who chants it thousands of times destroys darkness and achieves realization.
Anena Gaṇapatim Abhiṣiñcati. Sa Vāgmī Bhavati.
Chaturthyā Manaśnan Japati. Sa Vidyāvān Bhavati.

One who worships Ganapati with this mantra becomes eloquent,
one who fasts for four days and chants becomes learned.

Ityatharvaṇavākyam. Brahmādyācaraṇaṃ
Vidyānna Bibheti Kadācaneti॥12॥

This is the Atharvana sentence, the practice of Brahman and thus,
The knower of this never fears anything.
Yo Dūrvāṅkurair Yajati Sa Vaiśravaṇopamo Bhavati.
Yo Lājair Yajati. Sa Yaśovān Bhavati. Sa Medhāvān Bhavati.

One who worships with sprouts of Durva grass is likened to Vaishravan.
One who worships with modesty becomes famous and intelligent.

Yo Modakasahasreṇa Yajati Sa Vāñchitaphalamavāpnoti.
Yaḥ Sājya Samidbhir Yajati. Sa Sarvaṃ Labhate Sa Sarvaṃ Labhate॥13॥

One who worships with a thousand modaks obtains desired fruits.
One who worships with prepared samidhis obtains everything they desire.
Aṣṭau Brāhmaṇān Samyag Grāhayitvā Sūryavarcasvī Bhavati.
Sūryagrahe Mahānadyāṃ Pratimāsannidhau Vā Japṭvā Siddhamantro Bhavati.

One who properly accepts all eight Brahmins becomes radiant like the sun.
One who chants this mantra near the great river of the sun or in its presence attains success.

Mahāvighnāt Pramucyate. Mahādoṣāt Pramucyate.
Mahāpāpāt Pramucyate. Mahāpratyavāyāt Pramucyate.

He is freed from great obstacles, great faults, great sins,
and great destruction or ruin.
Sa Sarvavidbhavati Sa Sarvavidbhavati.
Ya Evaṃ Veda. Iti Upaniṣat॥

He is all-knowing, he is all-knowing.
Thus says the Upanishad.

Om Bhadraṃ Karṇebhiḥ Śṛṇuyāmadevāḥ Bhadraṃ Paśyemākṣabhir Yajatrāḥ.
Sthirairaṅgais Tuṣṭuvāṃ Sastanūbhiḥ Vyazhema Devahitaṃ Yadāyuḥ॥

Om, O gods, may we hear with our ears what is auspicious.
May we see with our eyes what is auspicious and delightful.

Svasti Na Indro Vṛddhaśravāḥ Svasti Naḥ Pūṣā Viśvavedāḥ.
Svasti Nastaṛkṣyaḥ Ariṣṭanemiḥ Svasti No Bṛhaspatir Dadātu॥

May Indra be auspicious, the wise Pūṣā be auspicious for us.
May the stars protect us from harm and may Brihaspati grant us well-being.

Om shanti, shanti,shantih

Om Peace! Peace! Peace!

This chant invokes peace on the physical, mental, and spiritual levels, repeating thrice for complete tranquility.
