The second method is that you may choose to chant this Stotra purely out of bhakti—without any time-bound commitments. In such cases, the heart becomes the altar, and sincerity becomes the offering.

Sri Suktam Begins
Chandrām hiraṇmayīm lakṣhmīm jātavedo ma āvaha || 1 ||
O Jataveda (Agni), bring to me Lakshmi,
who is golden-hued, radiant,
adorned with gold and silver garlands,
and shining like the moon.
Tām ma āvaha jātavedo lakṣhmīm anapagāminīm |
Yasyām hiraṇyaṃ vindeyaṃ gāmaśvaṃ puruṣān aham ||
Bring to me that ever-abiding Lakshmi,
by whose presence I may obtain gold,
cattle, horses,
and noble companions in my home.
Śriyaṃ devīmupahvaye śrīrmā devīr juṣatām ॥ 3 ॥
I invoke the goddess Lakshmi, who sits in the middle of the chariot,
preceded by horses and awakened by the trumpeting of elephants.
May she protect me and bring prosperity into my life.
Kāṃ sosmitāṃ hiraṇyaprakārāmārdrāṃ jvalantīṃ tṛptāṃ tarpayantīm ।
Padme sthitāṃ padmavarṇāṃ tām ihopahvaye śriyam
I invoke that Lakshmi who is surrounded by golden walls,
burning bright, satisfied and satisfying others.
Who is seated on a lotus and colored like a lotus.
Taam Padminiim Sharanamaham Prapadye Alakshmirme Nashyataam Tvaam Vrine
I bow in surrender to that lotus-like Maa Laxmi,
Radiant as the moon, glorious, adored by the gods, and generous.
O Maa Laxmi, protect me, I seek refuge in you.
Aadityavarne Tapasodhijato Vanaspatistava Vriksho ‘tha Bilvaha ।
Tasya Phalani Tapasa Nudantu Maayantarayashcha Bahya Alakshmih
The tree born of your austerity, with the sun’s radiant color, the Bilva tree,
May its fruits, through austerity, remove all hidden and external obstacles, as well as misfortune.
Prādurbhūto’smi rāṣṭre’smin kīrtim ṛddhiṃ dadātu me ॥ 7 ॥
O friend of the gods, bring me glory and fame.
I have arisen in this nation; may it grant me fame and growth.
Kṣut-pipāsā-malāṃ jyeṣṭhāmalakṣmīṃ nāśayāmyaham ।
Abhūtimasamṛddhiṃ ca sarvāṃ nirṇuda me gṛhāt
I destroy hunger, thirst, and the elder mother Lakshmi (mata laxmi).
Remove all lack and misfortune from my home.
Īśvarīṃ sarvabhūtānāṃ tāmihopahvaye śriyam ॥ 9 ॥
I invoke that Devi Maa Laxmi,
who is always nourished and overcomes the toughest obstacles.
She is the goddess of all beings.
I invite her to reside in my home.
Manasaḥ kāmamākūtiṃ vācaḥ satyamaśīmahi
Paśūnāṃ rūpamannasya mayi śrīḥ śrayatāṃ yaśaḥ
We accept the desire of the mind and the truth of speech.
May Maa Laxmi bring prosperity and fame to me in the form of cattle, food, and wealth.
Śriyaṃ vāsaya me kule mātaraṃ padmamālinīm ॥ 11 ॥
O Kardama, may my progeny multiply
And may Mata Padmamalini (Maa Laxmi adorned with lotus) reside in my family.
Āpaḥ sṛjantu snigdhāni ciklīta vas me gṛhe
Ni ca devīṃ mātaraṃ śriyaṃ vāsaya me kule
May the waters create sweetness and nourishment
may abundance and richness dwell in my home
O Divine Mother Lakshmi, may you reside in my lineage and bless my family with prosperity.”.

Sūryām hiraṇmayīm lakṣhmīm jātavedo ma āvaha
I invoke Devi Maa Laxmi who is moist like a lotus,
golden and adorned with golden garlands
She is the sun-like golden goddess
